Delcom have an excellent long standing relationship with one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of fire engines. These advanced vehicles are custom built for each customer and are delivered across the world, for use in scenarios such as civil resilience and airport fire fighting. Delcom supply 2 way radio equipment and PA equipment for use on the vehicles, as such you’ll find our radios installed in a wide variety of international airports across the world! All vehicles are custom built by this manufacturer to spec, dependant on the customer’s requirements. In addition vehicles that are refurbished or reconditioned often have Delcom equipment installed too.

The radios themselves are fitted by the vehicle manufacturer (although Delcom do offer a fitting service) but are all programmed onto the end users frequency and feature programmed by Delcom prior to shipping. Delcom receives a statement of requirements from the vehicle manufacturer and details of the end users. Using this information Delcom make a decision for the best type of equipment to recommend - based on country of use, it's environment (heat/cold etc) and the frequencies that the end user is operating on.

Delcom also provide all the installation ancillaries, including specialist bracketry and antennas (with appropriate fittings), that are usually cut to length depending on the end users frequency. The range of radio equipment Delcom have supplied these customers includes HF, VHF, UHF and even AM. Delcom can also supply intrinsically safe equipment for specialist environemnts, such as offshore dirlling & exploration platforms, as well as high risk areas such as those with a high risk of explosion (chemical processing, munitions etc).
