These stables, like many around the UK, housed high value horses. The business owners recognised the importance of protecting these valuable assets and called upon Delcom for assistance in the provision and installation of an outdoor security system

 

Due to its remote location, large coverage area and lack of electricity in some locations, the RoboGuard wireless outdoor alarm was chosen. In addition to the basic RoboGuard components chosen (multiple outdoor sirens, sensors, multiple key fobs etc) the system also included the installation of 15 new floodlights that were integrated into the RoboGuard system.

Upon alarm activation the stables and paths surrounding the property are flooded in light to warn off any intruder and owners of RoboGuard systems have the option of arming sirens which can act as an added deterrent. RoboGuard controlled floodlighting can also be used and all accessories can be controlled via the keyfobs, which are fully programmable and can be used for a variety of purposes.

In this instance the customer chose Delcom to install the system on their behalf, however in other installations Delcom have supplied pre-programmed kits for DIY installation, or for installations by the customers preferred contractor.

Thanks to the ease of installation as a wireless system, thereby making it affordable, RoboGuard was able to be rapidly deployed and integrated with the new floodlighting, in addition a number of existing lights were quickly integrated into the wire-free system.

Having made their investment the business have been very pleased with the results and peace of mind given - so much so that since it's original installation the system has been expanded further.
