Delcom are known for being specilists in agricultural & farming two way radio installations - and this particular job demonstrates the high level of expertise offered by Delcom engineers. This digital radio installation offered the customer a wealth of features, including man down, lone worker, GPS vehicle tracking and PC integration - all for no ongoing cost!

By no means an easy installation, Delcom used specialist access equipment to install a Hytera Digital RD985 repeater, as well as several fixed mobile installations in farm vehciles and offices.

For this particular installation Hytera DMR digital 2 way radio equipment was chosen, in order to provide the customer maximum flexibility. For long range a 3DB gain repeater / base station antenna was installed onto the farms main grain silo. The grain silo itself was 20ft off the ground, and with the addition of a 15ft pole and the 3db gain antenna the total height over the aerial was over 40ft.
